Supplies: pastry. I use these square pastry sheets with a thin paper on the back (easy for cutting the strips later on)

Supplies: cheese, pepper, salt, herbs (go crazy with whatever you like). I used chives, parsley, thyme and rosemary, all dried.

Supplies: olive oil (any would do) and a cooking brush. I use this small one, works easier on the pastry :)

We start by adding olive oil and herbs into a small cup. As far as measurements go: just try whatever gets you going! No 'rules'!

Then put the oil mixture aside and start cutting the pastry into strips about 2cm wide. I get 5 out of one sheet of pastry.

Then, twist the strips twice to get the 'swirly' look. Then put on the baking tray with paper.

Get your brush and oil mixture out and make those pastry strips shine!

Add pepper!

And salt!

Then, THE most important step as far as i'm concerned: CHEESE! Sprinkle over the pastry. The more the better.

Pop them in your preheated oven at 195 degeerd Celsius for about 15-20 minutes depending on your type of oven.

All done! Enjoy! :)
